About us
Optimising care in the network
The close cooperation of our network partners is crucial for ensuring advanced, comprehensive and quality-assured medical services. Carus Consilium Sachsen (CCS) GmbH, a subsidiary of the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital at TU Dresden (UKD), coordinates the CCS health region. Saxony's high-performance research infrastructure and the UKD's expertise in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, strokes and diabetic cases enable us to benefit from state-of-the-art solutions that continuously improve healthcare in the region. We work closely with renowned non-university research institutions.
Adaptation to new requirements
Partners from the areas of municipalities, energy supply, local public transport and hospital logistics are becoming increasingly important for the further development of the healthcare region. The CCS region covers the area of the Dresden state directorate, including the districts of Bautzen, Görlitz, Meißen and Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge as well as the independent state capital. With around 7,900 square kilometres and 1.7 million inhabitants, the region covers around a third of the area of the Free State of Saxony.
Concepts for rural areas
The healthcare system faces the challenge of ensuring affordable medical and nursing care close to home, especially in rural regions. Carus Consilium Sachsen GmbH initiates, manages and coordinates sustainable concepts to secure and further develop healthcare provision, particularly in regions away from the well-served urban centres. Our tasks include
- Establishment and further development of innovative supply projects
- Networking and communication within the health region
- Support for cross-sector collaboration
- Promotion of training and further education and recruitment of medical professionals
